Grave Discovered In Afghan Interior Ministry's Yard

KABUL -- Construction workers have discovered several bodies buried in the yard of the Afghan Interior Ministry in Kabul, Radio Free Afghanistan (RFA) reports.

Interior Ministry spokesman Zamarai Bashari told RFA that it is too early to define the burial spot as a mass grave, adding that he personally saw only one body.

He said the search for more bodies is under way at the location.

Last year, the body of Afghanistan's first president, Mohammad Daoud Khan, was found in a mass grave near Kabul.

He had been executed along with his family in 1978.
