On August 16, Afghan voters tuned in to watch and hear a debate between three of the four leading presidential candidates, including President Hamid Karzai. The event on Afghan state television, just days before the August 20 election, also featured former Finance Minister Ashraf Ghani and former Planning Minister Ramazan Bashardost.
