MOSCOW -- The Moscow magazine "Big City" has organized another rally under the slogan "Moscow Is Accessible" to draw attention to the problems people in wheelchairs encounter in the city, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.
As during the first such protest in June 2009, able-bodied people in wheelchairs attempted to enter various buildings, such as museums, cafes, and stores, and the Moscow subway.
Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov and Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin joined the protest, as did several famous Russian artists and journalists.
The police did not intervene.
