KYIV -- An official Ukrainian delegation will go to Mombassa, Kenya, to meet the Ukrainian ship "Faina" after its release from pirates last week, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.
Ukrainian presidential spokeswoman Irina Vannikova told journalists that Presidential Chief of Staff Andrei Honcharuk and External Intelligence Service chief Mykola Malomuzh will lead the delegation.
Vannikova said the "Faina" is being escorted to Kenyan territorial waters by a U.S. Navy vessel and will arrive on February 12.
The "Faina" was captured by pirates near Somalia in September.
The pirates released it last week after receiving a ransom of several million dollars.
Vannikova said the most important issue is to take care of the ship's crew.
