In Serbia, a court has sentenced two men to jail terms for a bombing that killed a Croatian newspaper editor known for his coverage of organized crime in the Balkans.
The Organized Crime Court in Belgrade on April 2 sentenced Zeljko Milovanovic to 40 years in prison for helping set up the bomb that exploded in 2008 in the Croatian capital, Zagreb, killing editor Ivo Pukanic and another employee of the "Nacional" newspaper.
Another man received five years for assisting those who carried out the murder.
The alleged mastermind of the bombing, reputed gang figure Sreten Jocic, was acquitted, however, with the court ruling there was not enough evidence to convict him.
Jocic will remain in prison, serving a 15-year sentence for another killing.
