Thousands Rescued As Massive Storm Keeps Houston Paralyzed

Authorities in Houston, Texas say emergency personnel have rescued more than 13,000 people since floodwaters began overtaking the city. Aerial footage shot over southeast Houston showed the devastation left behind by Tropical Storm Harvey on August 29. The record rainfall of at least 125 centimeters caused unprecedented flooding that forced tens of thousands of people from their homes. Authorities have reported at least a dozen deaths from Harvey.
