Protests in Iran have grown to their biggest in several years as crowds flood streets in major cities, small towns, and neighborhoods across Tehran. But Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei remained defiant on January 9, saying he would "not back down" as the country was largely cut off from the outside world after authorities blacked out the Internet.
