Fake Jack Daniel's Kills 11 In Siberia

Russia's Investigative Committee says 11 individuals have died in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk after drinking fake Jack Daniel's whiskey.

The committee confirmed the local Health Ministry's earlier statement saying that an 18-year-old man hospitalized after drinking the tainted alcohol had died in a local clinic on November 30, raising the death toll to 11.

Nine other patients poisoned by the fake alcohol are in hospitals, one of them in grave condition. They were all dignosed with methanol poisoning.

In one week, 48 residents of Krasnoyarsk were referred to doctors after they consumed whiskey they had ordered online.

An investigation has been launched. Six suspects were arrested.
