Pakistan's foreign minister says she will meet U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on February 23 in London to discuss strained relations between the two nations.
Hina RabbPakistan: Foreign Minister To Meet Clinton On Thursdayani Khar said on February 21 that she hoped Pakistan and the United States could sort out their differences but added there were certain preconditions to resettling relations, including pursuing a track that is considered to be in "the mutual interest" of both nations.
Already tense relations between Pakistan and the United States were further damaged by a cross-border NATO air attack last November which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers.
Khar said that the Pakistani parliament currently was looking at the terms of the engagement with the United States, saying that "red lines" created by Pakistan in its relationship with the United States and NATO had been "crossed repeatedly."
