Peshawar Police Launch New Effort To Fight Crime

A new police squad has been deployed in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar, aiming to crack down on street crime and car theft. The unit has about 200 officers and 20 cars equipped with an Identity Verification System with instant access to police databases. (RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal)
