Fatal Helicopter Crash Reported In Siberia


Officials say 15 people were killed when a commercial helicopter crashed in Russia's Siberian Krasnoyarsk region.

A total of 26 people were aboard the aircraft, which crashed into the Yenisei River about 10 kilometers from the town of Igarka on November 26.

Ten people were rescued with some injuries and one person remains missing.

An investigation into the cause of the incident has been launched.

The helicopter was operated by the Turukhan aviation firm and was reportedly carrying energy-sector workers to a remote oil-pumping station.
