The father of an ethnic Chechen man shot dead by the FBI during questioning about his links to one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects says agents killed his son "execution-style."

At a press conference in Moscow, Abdul-Baki Todashev showed journalists what he said were pictures of his son's bullet-riddled body.

He said the pictures were taken by a friend of his son.

He said his son had at least seven bullet wounds, including one to the back of his head.

It was not immediately possible to authenticate the photographs.

The FBI says 27-year-old Ibragim Todashev was shot by agents in Florida last week during a violent confrontation while being questioned about his links to Boston Marathon suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, as well as about his possible involvement in a 2011 triple murder in Massachusetts.
