A woman has been arrested on suspicion of killing a U.S. lawyer by giving him a drug overdose.
Law-enforcement officials said that the suspect poisoned her victim by using "medicine with a powerful soporific effect" to knock him out and rob his rented apartment in downtown Moscow.
The 42-year-old New Yorker had been on business trip to Russia and was found dead at the apartment earlier this month.
The 34-year-old suspect was arrested at a nightclub on May 24.
Detectives initially said the lawyer had died of natural causes, but forensic tests showed he had been poisoned.
