Candidates Clash As Trump Makes Bill Clinton Abuse Claims

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump repeated historical abuse claims against former president Bill Clinton, and accused Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton of attacking the women who made them. The claims included a rape allegation dating from 1978. Bill Clinton was never charged in any of the cases. Trump also said that when Hillary Clinton was working as a lawyer, she laughed at a rape victim, Kathy Shelton, while defending the rapist. Hillary Clinton responded that people could draw their own conclusions about whether Trump respected women, and that her opponent "never apologizes" to anyone. (AP)
