Suicide Car Bomb Injures Seven Afghans

Canadian troops at the site of a March 3 attack on one of their convoys in Kandahar (epa) March 30, 2006 -- A suicide car bomber today injured seven Afghan civilians in the city of Kandahar.

The attacker, who was killed, had been attempting to hit a Canadian military convoy.


No coalition forces were reported hurt in the attack, which came a day after a U.S. and a Canadian soldier were killed in fighting in the southern province of Helmand. The U.S. military said 32 Taliban fighters were also killed.
