Roadside Bomb Kills 10, Wounds 28 In Afghanistan

At least 10 people have been reported killed in a roadside bombing in southern Afghanistan today.

The victims were laborers riding in a truck on their way to work.

The attack happened in Kandahar Province.

The director of Kandahar Hospital, Qayoum Pakhla, said 28 others were injured in the blast.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.

Kandahar, the birthplace of the Taliban, is one of the most violent provinces in Afghanistan.

The Taliban recently announced the start of their annual spring offensive.
