Job Summary:
Reporting to Manager, Central Engineering and under the guidance of the Lead Digital Broadcast Engineer, the Digital Broadcast Engineer specializes in the installation, operation, and corrective maintenance of the selected audio & video digital systems and, as part of the Central Engineering team, participates in maintenance and installation of digital broadcast equipment. Provides trouble call customer assistance for the broadcast staff.
Responsibilities:
- As an Engineer specializes in the installation, operation and corrective maintenance of the digital audio and video systems (DAVID Systems, Dalet, Vizrt, StreamCircle).
- Manages digital audio and video system servers in Active Directory environment.
- Performs administration tasks on VMware and Network Attached Storage (NAS)
- Executes day to day troubleshooting and maintenance of digital broadcast applications on Windows desktops and servers.
- Creates and maintains systems documentation.
- Troubleshoots faulty equipment and develops solutions to support the broadcasting mission.
- May be assigned to support bureaus and help them with solving their specific digital broadcast systems problems throughout Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Middle East, North America and other locations, as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Combination of education and experience.
- Engineering or related degree.
Work Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience with supporting MS Windows Servers (physical / virtual), Windows 10, Linux and Active Directory.
- Experience with supporting VMware products.
- Support of products from DAVID System, Dalet, Vizrt, StreamCircle.
- User experience with digital audio and video editing software packages (Adobe Premiere and Audition).
Competencies:
- Ability to work with others on a team - be a team player, who can interact and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, and yet demanding work environment.
- IT systems engineering.
- Digital audio and video engineering.
- Relevant software knowledge (SW for processing audio/video).
Languages:
- Czech language Proficient (Mandatory).
- English language Working Knowledge Oral and Written (Mandatory).
