Eight U.S. Marines Killed In Iraq

30 October 2004 -- The U.S. military says eight marines were killed and nine wounded in action west of the Iraqi capital Baghdad today.

The military gave no details on the deaths, which it said occurred in the restive western province of Anbar, which includes the rebel-held cities of Al-Fallujah and Ramadi.
