The budget is seen as a test for Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica's minority government and its efforts to secure continued support from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Experts say the approval of the budget could lead to the Paris Club of creditors -- which groups 19 of the world's richest countries -- to cancel Serbia's official $730 million debt.
The cancellation of the big debt is part of the IMF's plan for continuing financial support for Serbia.
