Russia Bans Georgian Mineral Water

Russia's consumer protection agency said on May 4 it is banning the Borjomi mineral water on health grounds.

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Noghaideli said the ban was political, and that Moscow was seeking to punish Georgia for its pro-Western policies.
