May 27, 2006 -- A rally in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek ended peacefully today with protest organizers adopting a resolution that calls on the government to speed up constitutional reforms.
The 10-point resolution includes demands for economic reforms and stronger action against corruption and criminality.
Supporters of the For Reform opposition movement and several nongovernmental organizations took part in the rally.
