Dutch Troops Kill 18 Militants In Afghanistan

Members of a contingent of Dutch soldiers pictured in Eindhoven as they prepared to leave o leave for Afghanistan in early July (epa) July 21, 2006 -- The commander of Dutch armed forces says Dutch commandos in southern Afghanistan have killed 18 militants in the hills overlooking a Dutch military camp.

General Dick Berlijn says there were no Dutch casualties in the 10-day operation around Camp Holland, which is under construction near the town of Tarin Kot in Oruzgan Province.
