Fradkov (left) and Premier Wen on November 9 (epa) November 10, 2006 -- Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov met Chinese President Hu Jintao today, on the last day of his two-day visit to China to discuss trade, energy, and economic cooperation.

On November 9, Fradkov held talks with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao. The two sides signed more than a dozen deals worth more than $1 billion.

Sergei Bogdanchikov, the head of Russian oil company Rosneft, said today his company was ready to boost oil exports to China to 140 million barrels next year, up from an expected 85 million barrels this year.

Energy cooperation has become central to China's economic links with Russia. Officials from both countries are projecting bilateral trade to reach $60 billion-$80 billion by 2010.
