Hospitals In Swat, Pakistan Struggle To Treat Dengue Fever Outbreak
More than 1,000 cases of dengue fever, a mosquito-borne virus, have been reported in Pakistan's northern Swat district. The disease, which causes high fevers and muscle pain, can be fatal in some cases if left untreated. The main hospital in Mingora is struggling to handle the influx of patients, some of whom are housed in cramped and temporary wards. (Produced by Niaz Ahmad Khan, RFE/RL's Radio Mashaal)
