Kharkiv says bye to lenin, body part by body part. But I'm with @leonidragozin on this: this is a distraction fm real problems + oligarchs

Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, it looks like they are now taking an angle grinder to Lenin's leg...

It's a real headline and real news, yes. Police warn Ukrainians against throwing politicians into garbage containers http://t.co/SND5qHaWRD
— Olga Tokariuk (@olgatokariuk) September 28, 2014
@tmichalsk I agree it's not an appropriate behavior. It shows how much people are disillusioned with justice system and widespread impunity
— Olga Tokariuk (@olgatokariuk) September 28, 2014
By throwing politicians into trash bins Ukrainians show their disbelief in justice system. Behavior not acceptable, but reasons are clear

And here's a video from RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service of pro-Kyiv activists using a jackhammer to engrave "Glory to Ukraine" into a Lenin statue in Kharkiv (natural sound):
Here's an update from RFE/RL's news desk:
Ukrainian military officials and pro-Russian separatists have carried out a prisoner exchange in eastern Ukraine.
Antigovernment militia who control parts of Ukraine's Donetsk region swapped 30 captive Ukrainian soldiers on September 28 for 60 separatist fighters held by Ukrainian forces.
The exchange took place at a village near the separatist-controlled city of Donetsk, with the fighters and soldiers being brought to the location by bus.
The prisoner exchange was observed by members of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
The initially agreed exchange format was 30 for 30 -- no reason was given for Ukraine's handing over 60 rebel fighters.
The prisoner swap was part of a truce agreement signed in Minsk on September 5 between the Ukrainian government and self-declared separatist leaders.
The exchange was the fourth in which nearly 450 prisoners have been returned.
