Hong Kong Protesters Clash With Police On Communist China Anniversary

Tens of thousands of people marched in Hong Kong in defiance of an official ban on protests on October 1, the 70th anniversary of communist rule in China. Separately, some groups of protesters clashed with security forces in sporadic street battles. Anti-government demonstrations have been taking place in Hong Kong -- an autonomous territory of China -- since March.
