28 Reported Killed In Pakistan Attacks Against Shi'ite Pilgrims

Authorities say gunmen opened fire on a bus carrying Shi'ite Muslim pilgrims traveling through southwest Pakistan on September 20, killing 26 people.

The pilgrims were traveling by bus through Mastung district in Baluchistan province on their way to the Iranian border when the attack occurred.

The bus was carrying at least 40 people.

Not long after that attack, gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle carrying Shi'ites in the city of Quetta, killing two of them.

Pakistan is a majority Sunni Muslim country.
