British police say a judicial inquiry into the death of former Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky will open on March 28.
The inquest is expected to hear evidence on the cause of Berezovsky’s death and then adjourn until a full hearing at a later date.
Berezovsky was found dead at his home in Britain on March 23.
Police say an autopsy found the cause of death was “consistent with hanging,” but they did not say whether Berezovsky hung himself.
It could take weeks for the results of further tests, including toxicology examinations, to be known.
Some associates of Berezovsky suggest he may have been depressed because of recent financial losses.
Berezovksy made a fortune in Russia during the 1990s but emigrated to Britain in 2000 after falling out with President Vladimir Putin.
