Reports from Washington say seven members of the elite U.S. Navy SEALs have been punished for disclosing classified information.
The Reuters and Associated Press news agencies quote officials as saying one of the seven was part of the SEAL Team Six squad that killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan last year.
Officials said they are accused of divulging classified information about their work to the producer of a video game.
Officials said the seven each received a letter of reprimand and had their pay reduced for two months.
Rear Admiral Garry Bonelli, deputy commander of the Naval Special Warfare Command, said in a statement that administrative punishments have been handed down for misconduct but gave no further details.
