Norwegian Protesters To Sing Song Breivik Hates

Anders Behring Breivik in court in Oslo
Thousands of Norwegians plan to protest in the streets of Oslo against far-right extremist Andres Behring Breivik on April 26 by singing a song about peace and unity that he hates.

On trial for killing 77 people in a bombing and shooting spree in July 2011, Breivik has described the song "Children of the Rainbow" as Marxist brainwashing.

It is a Norwegian rendition of a 1971 song by American folk singer Pete Seeger called "Rainbow Race."

Protest organizers say they will sing the song a few blocks from the courthouse where Breivik is on trial.

At his trial on April 25, Breivik dismissed a psychiatric report that declares him insane, saying it was based on "evil fabrications" meant to discredit him.

Breivik has admitted the killings, which targeted government buildings in Oslo and a Labor Party youth camp.
