Moscow, Minsk At Odds Over Plane Flights

Russia and Belarus have announced that they will hold discussions over passenger flights between Moscow and Minsk following a brief suspension of flights between the two capitals.

Officials of the two sides are expected to discuss the issue on March 29.

The reason for the brief suspension of flights on March 26 has not been publicly explained by officials.

Earlier the same day, Russia's state aviation authority withdrew all licenses permitting Belarusian flights to Moscow -- prompting Belarus to retaliate by suspending all Russian flights to Minsk.
