A court in Kyiv on August 1 issued an arrest warrant on a charge of high treason for former pro-Russian Ukrainian lawmaker Vadym Rabinovych, who is currently outside of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) said on August 2. Last week, the DBR said Rabinovych, who represented the pro-Russian Opposition Platform -- For Life (OPZZh) party in parliament, "spread anti-Ukrainian propaganda among the Ukrainian population and European Union member states," in an attempt to help Russia "reach its political and military goals in Ukraine."
