Little Hope For Compromise After Kosovo Talks In London

September 19, 2007 -- Representatives from Serbia and Kosovo's ethnic Albanians apparently have left separate talks with international envoys as opposed as ever on the future of the disputed Serbian province.

Participants in the talks in London said Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu presented a "good neighborly relations contract" with Serbia at the meeting, which Serbia had condemned in advance as a "provocation."

The meetings in London, involving envoys from the European Union, Russia, and the United States were aimed at preparing the first direct talks between Serbian and Kosovo Albanian leaders in New York on September 28.
