Gift-Bearing Russian Spacecraft Docks With Space Station


One America and one Russian astronaut are currently manning the space station (file photo) (epa) 23 December 2005 -- A Russian space craft delivering supplies and Christmas presents docked with the International Space Station today.


The Russian craft blasted off on 21 December from the Russian launch facility at Baikonur in Kazakhstan.


U.S. astronaut William McArthur and Russian colleague Valery Tokarev were on board the ISS awaiting greetings from Earth.
