Iraqi Foreign Minister Zebari Heads To Iran

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari (epa) April 25, 2007 -- Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari starts a two-day visit in Tehran today.

Zebari is expected to ask Iran to take part in an international conference in Egypt, scheduled for May 1-4, on how to end the conflict in Iraq.


Tehran has not said whether or not it intends to send delegates to the conference.


The event is expected to include ministers from the countries that neighbor Iraq, the five permanent UN Security Council members, and several other industrialized nations.
