(RFE/RL) February 22, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- The Writers Association in Iran has issued a statement protesting state censorship and what it calls "the elimination of literary works" by the government, Radio Farda reported.

It also says Iranian authorities have blocked access to news websites and detained and harassed bloggers.
RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
