A spokesman for Russia's state security service says the Moscow mausoleum of revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin is to be closed for four months of renovation work.
Spokesman Sergey Devyatov told the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" newspaper on December 25 that Lenin's body will remain inside the mausoleum during the course of the work to repair extensive damage to the building.
The mausoleum is to be covered by a large white tent until the end of April while the restoration work is carried out.
Lenin's body is embalmed and has lain in state in the mausoleum in Moscow's Red Square since shortly after his death in 1924.
