RFE/RL is looking for a full-time multimedia-savvy correspondent in Moscow with excellent reporting skills and a great eye for a story. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious journalist to reach a broad regional and international audience. You’ll pitch and deliver original stories – text or video – that give RFE/RL’s audience a window into Russia. We are looking for someone who is comfortable quickly reacting to news in the Kremlin, but also reporting compelling slice-of-life features from in and around Moscow. You should have a good understanding of social media and be a keen follower of the Russian Internet. This is a freelance position, paying a competitive monthly retainer. (You can keep other strings, within reason.)
We’re looking for:
- Proven track record as an excellent reporter/writer
- Minimum of four years’ journalistic experience
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Fluency in Russian
Should you be interested in this position please apply by sending your CV and a cover letter in English to firstname.lastname@example.org , including in the subject line the vacancy number as above.
